Furrowly Kennels is set in the rolling hills of Narre Warren North, a far outer south eastern suburb approximately 45 klms from Melbourne, Australia's 2nd largest city.

We came across the Pug some 15 years ago and have been actively involved with the breed ever since with myself being the Treasurer of the Pug Club of Victoria ever since 2000 and Kellie joining the committee the year after.

We first saw our first French Bulldog in 2000 whilst showing in the national capitol, Canberra and it was the start of our love with the breed. I have been Secretary of the French Bulldog Club of Victoria for the past 4 years and Kellie is a committee member.

In 2008 we purchased a third breed, a British Bulldog, and we hope to develop this further.

All of our dogs are family members.

Kellie & I welcome you to our website, please feel free to sign our guest book at the bottom of this page, to pass on your comments to us.

"Boz"

Sire: Aust Champion Statley Pilgrims Courage
Dam: Birsay Pebbles

Named after the classic Boz Scagg's song, Boz was bred by E. Jones of Wonthaggi, Vic.

Boz was a slow starter in his show career but in the last 12 months has proven himself to be an excellent show dog. Boz's triumphs have been 3 Best Of Breeds in shows over 5 days in the Sapphire Show Circuit in 2003 Boz has gained 2 RUBIG's and is a multi In Group winner.

Boz now lives in retirement and enjoys the occassional visit to the Veterans Circuit. His main task here at Furrowly Kennels is to patrol the perimeter of the fenceline.

"Jazz"

Sire: Australian Champion Gilgai Duncan
Dam: Patrian Marguerite

Following Anthony's love of Neil Diamond, Jazz was named after Neil Diamond's 1996 album "Tennessee Moon" with her pet name coming from his 1980 album, The Jazz Singer.

Jazz was bred by Steve & Linda Walsh of Dinoambre Pugs (formally Kelchez). Jazz is the star of Furrowly Kennels and is a multi In Group award winner. With 37 In Group awards and an astonishing record of 19 In Group Awards in 19 consecutive shows.

Jazz has been shown sparingly in the last 18 months and is close to gaining her Australian Champion title.

"Whitty"

Sire: Australian Ch. Statley Pilgrim Courage
Dam: Australian Ch. Birsay Bonny

Named after a horse in the 1991 Melbourne Cup, Whitty was whelped by Joan Bailey of Statley Pugs of Eagle Point.

Every house has a couch potato of a pet and Whitty is our pet. She has had a limited show career and we only bring her out every now and then.

She has an exceptional Apricot fawn coat and has been judged Best Apricot Pug in 6 consecutive Pug Club Of Victoria Championship Shows & Open Shows.

Whitty crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year (2009) and is deeply missed by all.

Breakfast time will not be the same without Whitty begging for toast.

"Misty"

DARNAWAY CEZANNE

"Leo"

Sire: Britbull The Scorceror

Dam: Chrishell Enchanter

(Imp. New Zealand)

Leo was bred by Val Anderson and is one of a very few Tiger Brindles in Victoria. He was named after Leo Sayer, a favourite singer of Kellie.

He is a true showman and makes sure that people in his immediate vicinity know that he is there.

Leo began his show career by winning Opposite Baby Puppy In Show in the 2003 French Bulldog Club of Victoria Championship and Open shows.  He followed this by winning Best Brindle In Show at the 2004 show. His success is assured as he matures into an older dog.

Leo crossed the Rainbow Bridge some 3 years ago, on his way to a dog show and his contribution to the Victorian French Bulldog world is profoundly missed.

RITAZ ARCTIC MIST

"Misty"

Sire: Aussie Bound V.D. Hoevensehof

(Imp. Netherlands)

Dam: Ritaz Sweet Seduction

Misty was bred by Rita & Brian Davis of Yass and in her first shows won 3 consecutive Baby Puppy In Group awards.

Her show career was limited as Misty discovered the wonderful life of being a couch potato.

After giving us 2 healthy litters, Misty was retired to a life of couch sleeping and stealing my pillow which has now become her day bed.

Her loving nature continues to bring us great happiness.
